Nolè Valle d’Itria is located in Locorotondo, in the hearth of Itria Valley, in Apulia. It’s only 10 minutes from Alberobello (Unesco World Heritage since 1996), Cisternino and Martina Franca far. The historical center has a circular shape which gave it the toponym “Locus Rotundus” from the nineteenth-century (from the Middle Age Casale San Giorgio) and it rises on a hill 410 mt above sea level. It lets you enjoy a wonderful panoramic sight from the valley, along the route Martina Franca-Locorotondo, showing via Nardelli, called “seafront” by local inhabitants. From this balcony on the charming valley and its trulli, it is possible to admire the cummerse, typical houses whit sloping roof, terracing and vineyards, lots delimited by dry stone walls. The area belonging to Locorotondo has a wide countryside due to more than 100 contrade (pieces of land in the countryside), whose names originate from anecdotes, geographical features or worthy ethno-anthropological heritage.
